PRODUCT- MICROTRACER - 4.5% SELENIUM ON SAND (Sand, 10% Sodium Selenite and Vegetable Oil).

DESCRIPTION: A source of selenium for use in manufacturing feed premixes.

PRODUCT FORMULATION: Sand,10% Sodium Selenite and food grade vegetable oil,

GUARANTEE: 4.5% Selenium as Sodium Selenite, +10% maximum, -5% minimum (based upon the average analysis of four sub-samples from each batch).

COLOR: Off white to light tan to darker tan. Color may vary somewhat between batches.

ODOR:. None to slightly salty to very slightly sulfurous,

PARTICLE SIZE: Minimum 100% passes 25 mesh (USA Standard).

PACKAGING: 50-lb. or 25 kg net in 5 Gallon fiber drums with poly liner.

STABILITY: In original sealed containers under ambient conditions (i.e. 20 degrees C), this product will have a minimum Shelf-life of 6 to12 months. In premixes, it will be at least as stable as unprotected selenium sources. Sodium Selenite can react with vitamin C and with organic materials such as ground corn, with the Sodium Selenite being reduced to elemental selenium that is relatively bio-unavailable.

STORAGE: This product must be stored in a cool, dry place. Partially used containers must be carefully resealed as the product is hygroscopic. (water attracting and can clump).

PRODUCT ADVANTAGES. :This product will disperse well in premixes and final feeds. The product has a minimum count of 100 particles/mg so if 0.3ppm Selenium is added to feed, this product will contribute approx. 75 particles/10 grams of feed. Also the product is relatively non-dusty meeting EEC worker safety recommendations. It also flows well in premix and feed materials handling equipment.

PRECAUTIONS: Sodium Selenite is toxic via inhalation, ingestion or skin contact. When working, with this product, wear a dust mask or preferably a suitable respirator as well as gloves and other protective clothing. Wash hands and take shower as soon as possible after working with this product. Refer to applicable MSDS for additional advice.
